Retired U.S. Army Maj. Joseph M. Mersol was the guest speaker at the May meeting of the Mahoning and Shenango Valleys Chapter of the Military Officers Association of America.
Lt. Col. Gary Williams, first vice president of the Mahoning and Shenango Valleys Chapter of the Military Officers Association of America (MSVC-MOAA), presented a Chapter Flag Set to Mersol, owner of Joseph Mersol Financial Solutions in Poland.
Mersol, a certified life underwriter and an accomplished estate planning specialist with New York Life, spoke to a large gathering of Chapter members and guests at a recent awards and recognition dinner at the Youngstown Air Reserve Station in Vienna.

Mersol, is one of several guest speakers presented to Chapter members in recent months to highlight various assistance programs available to veterans and their families. The topic for Mersol's presentation was estate planning and steps needed to prepare legal and financial affairs in advance to minimize family strain and turmoil upon one's incapacitation or death.
