Swimmers split opener with Alliance

The Poland High School swim and dive club team kicked off the season with a split against Alliance. Poland girls won on the road 91-72 and the boys final results tallied 69-86. The 2012-2013 team has 18 swimmers, with 11 girls and seven boys competing. Individual meet results for Poland competitors are:

In the Women's 200 Free: first place, Maddie Evan; fourth, Maria Moschella; and sixth, Maggie Glaros.

In the Men's 200 Free: second, Sam Cowles.

In the Women's 200 IM: second, Celia Melillo.

In the Men's 200 IM: first, Matt Misko.

In the Women's 50 Free: first, Jaci Mullally; fourth, Marissa Melillo; and fifth, Glaros.

In the Men's 50 Free: first, Matt Robich; second, David Robich; and fourth, Kyle Kirin.

In the Women's 100 Fly: first, Kaelyn Weitzman; and second Moschella.

In the Men's 100 Fly: second, Cowles.

In the Women's 100 Free: first, Mullally; fourth, Connie VanScoter; and fifth, Hannah Wolfe.

In the Men's 100 Free: third, Anthony Lattanzio; fourth, Kirin; and fifth, Brendan Gage.

In the Women's 500 Free: first, Madeleine Landry.

In the Men's 500 Free: first, Matt Robich.

In the Women's 100 Back: first, Evan; and second, Weitzman.

In the Men's 100 Back: second, Matt Robich.

In the Women's 100 Breast: second, Celia Melillo; third, Landry; and fourth, Wolfe.

In the Men's 100 Breast: first, Misko; second, Lattanzio; and fifth, Gage.

In the Women's 100 Free Relay: first, team of Evan, Mullally, M. Melillo, and C. Melillo.
