Township honors efforts to assist family

November 29, 2012

Proof that sometimes it takes a village to come to the rescue of a family in need, on Monday, Nov. 26, Boardman Township trustees presented a proclamation to the Home Builders Association of the Valley for work done at a township home, the owners of which had fallen on hard times.

"It's just amazing to see the work that was done," said Township Trustee Tom Costello, who shared that when the home needed work to bring it within zoning regulations, the Builders Association decided to take on the Zander Drive home as its 2012 fall project.

The proclamation went on to commend Alexander Construction, Banner Supply, Boak & Sons, Carter Lumber, Cross Lawn & Landscape, Meander Homes, Santon Electric, and Wolford's Refuse & Recycling for their generous donations of time, labor, and materials to make the project a success.
