Photo special to the Town Crier
Students in Lynne Stoll's second-grade class at Poland Union Elementary made table ornaments during an art lesson for the Ohio Council of the International Reading Association's annual Reading Conference at Youngstown State University. The title, 'Creating a Sense of Wonder that Engages All readers' brought out the creativity of the students. Inspired by the works of author/illustrators Conrad Storad and Kevin O'Mally, students wrote stories, researched facts and used a variety of methods to create their artwork. Pictured are Union students Olivia Zura, Andy Clark, Elizabeth Harger, Carson Grimes and Stephen Solic.
