Boardman ranks among top Ohio high schools again

Boardman High School is once again ranked as a top high school in the State of Ohio according to the just released rankings by US News & World Report. The Silver Medal Status considers college readiness, graduation rates, AP testing, and proficiency scores, among other factors.

At number 54 this year, Boardman High School continues to be recognized as a high performing High School. This year, US News surveyed over 900 public high schools in Ohio.

The rankings are based on students who perform better than expected in their state, as well as disadvantaged students who perform better than the state average. Weight is also given to student graduation rates that meet or exceed a national standard, and how well students are prepared for college level work.

"We are honored to be recognized for all the good works we do and do consistently at Boardman High School," said Principal Cindy Fernback. "Those of us who call BHS our home know, because of our front row seat to excellence everyday, that BHS is an award winning institution in the community. Gratitude goes to our staff and our kids."
