Hunter breaks school basketball record

February 6, 2019
The Town Crier

Girls basketball standout Sabria Hunter recently broke Fitch High School's career rebounding record for both boys and girls basketball. The high school senior broke the previous record of 804 rebounds, which had been held by Christina Toth since 1997.

"It was an honor to hold the career rebounding record (boys and girls) at Fitch for the past 22 years. It's time to pass the torch to Sabria; congratulations and good luck at West Point. Remember that no matter who breaks the record after us that we still get to have Career Rebounding Record at Austintown Fitch High in our obituaries. We are Falcons - once a Falcon, always a Falcon," said Toth.

As of Jan. 4, Hunter currently has 908 career rebounds. She is also on track to break the schools' boys and girls all-time scoring mark of 1,581 points, set by Dana Sulenski in 1995.
