Canfield skater heading to championships

October 10, 2018
The Town Crier

Canfield native Aubree Neuhaus, 12, heads to the US Figure Skating 2019 Eastern Great Lakes Regional Championships this month, in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Neuhaus, a seventh grader at CVMS, has been skating competitively since she was 4 years old. Her parents laced up her first pair of double bladed skates when she was just 14 months old. Neuhaus fell in love with ice skating that day, and has not looked back. Currently, she trains 5-6 days a week. Neuhaus travels after school and on weekends to train in Cleveland with her coaches Sally and Graziella Tasca. Neuhaus is a member of the Pavilion Skating Club of Cleveland Heights. Neuhaus' favorite thing about figure skating is that she is able to do something that keeps her athletically challenged each day. Her goals this month at Regionals, is to "skate a clean program and do my personal best."
