Baordman Envirothon team heading to state competition

Two Boardman teams competed in Northeast Ohio's Envirothon competition on April 26. Fifty teams competed, and the Boardman teams came in third and 14th. The Boardman "Owls" team has earned an all expense trip to State Competition June 11-12, near Dayton.

The Envirothon is a competition among high school students designed to enhance interest in the environment and natural resources. Throughout the competition, students are tested in the subject areas of soils, forestry, wildlife, aquatic ecology, and current environmental issues.

The Boardman "Owls" competing at State, are Sophia McGee, Rita Sulebi, Pranav Padmanabhan, Danny Turillo and Justin Olsen.
