Annual tasting benefits program

YOUNGSTOWN - The Youngstown Area Grocers Association will host its 12th annual Beer and Wine Tasting 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at Stambaugh Auditorium, 1000 Fifth Ave., Youngstown.

Tickets are $50 or $400 for a reserved table of eight.

Guests will have the opportunity to sample more than 100 wines and 50 microbrews, enjoy gourmet food and live entertainment. There also will be silent auctions and basket raffles, as well as a 50/50 raffle.

Lauren Handwork, housing director; Linda Titus, Family and Child Program director; Brigid Kennedy and Sr. Kathleen Minchin, co-executive directors; Daniel Wakefield, associate director of the HIV / AIDS Ministry; and Larry Donofrio, president of the Youngstown Area Grocers Association are getting ready for a benefit to help the Ursuline Sisters HIV / AIDS Ministry.

Proceeds will benefit the children's program of the Ursuline Sisters HIV / AIDS Ministry in Youngstown and the Prince of Peace Center in Farrell, Pa.
