Boys varsity gold team wins Canfield Invitational

On Aug. 18, the Boardman High School boys varsity golf team won the 2014 Canfield Invitational tournament at Tippecanoe Country Club. Boardman came in first with a team score of 318, followed by Green with 327 and third-place Mooney with 332.

Scoring for Boardman was Brian Terlesky with a 69, Cade Kreps with an 81, Ethan Thomas at 82 and Bobby Jonda with 87. Mooney's top scorers were Ken Keller with a 77, Nick Braydich at 81, Matt Daprile at 86 and Nick Hough with an 88. Individual medalist included Terlesky.
