Benefit for Campbell woman with cancer set

August 14, 2014
The Town Crier

Push For Kevina will be held from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Aug. 23 at St. Joseph the Provider Hall, 633 Porter Ave., Campbell.

Kevina Koval, a 27-year-old Campbell woman, was diagnosed with a brain tumor at 19.

The tumor was inoperable, so the doctors had no choice but to leave it there. Since then, she's struggled with medical issues such as seizures and blindness.

Following an MRI on July 3, Kevina was told that not only did the tumor grow, but it became cancerous. She will begin chemotherapy soon for at least 10 months.

Push For Kevina is fundraiser to assist in her medical expenses and traveling fees.

There will be a Chinese auction including a Cleveland Browns football signed by Desmond Bryant; a date night package including a $25 gift card to Springfield Grille and a free overnight stay at the Hampton Inn; free rounds of golf including the cart at three different courses; a beauty basket; and much, much more.

There also will be a push-up competition. We have sponsors donating money per push-up completed that day, and the person with the most push-ups in one minute will get a prize.

There also will be games, free face painting from noon to 3 p.m., music and food.

If anyone has any questions or would like to submit a donation, contact Karyssa Cortez, 86 Notre Dame Drive, Campbell, OH 44405. Email Cortez at kissi71793@yahoo.com or call 330-501-5442.
