Former resident writes children's book

July 17, 2014
The Town Crier

Former Boardman resident Dee Leone is the author of a new children's book titled ''Bizz and Buzz Make Honey Buns.'' It is published by Grosset & Dunlap / Penguin.

Leone is a graduate of Boardman High School and Youngstown State University. She taught in Youngstown, as well as in California and Texas. In addition to her latest book, she has written numerous reproducible books for the educational market.

''Bizz and Buzz Make Honey Buns'' is about two bees that try to create a snack but don't quite understand the recipe. Their first mistake is to use a little flower instead of a little flour, but that's just the beginning. The two insects continue to follow the steps in a way that will have children clamoring for additional stories starring this bungling buzzing duo.
