Boardman author signs with three publishers

July 10, 2014
The Town Crier

Boardman author Julie Arduini signed with three different publishers within the last couple of months. The last contract, with Write Integrity Press, is a three-book deal featuring her Adirondack Mountain contemporary romances.

Her tentative titles -- ''Spectacular Falls,'' ''Untangled,'' and ''To Be Determined'' -- are first-person romances centered around the fictional village of Speculator Falls in Upstate New York. Arduini used the real village of Speculator as her inspiration.

The heroine of ''Spectacular Falls'' is a sassy senior center director who leaves Youngstown to fulfill a promise to live without regrets. She takes a senior center position in the Upstate New York Adirondack Mountains after only one phone interview, and tries to fit in with her new colleagues and neighbors, including councilman Ben Regan.

''Signing with Write Integrity Press was definitely my goal, and for them to contract all three titles is a dream. As a reader and reviewer, I'm a fan of those authors. Now, I'm one of them,'' Arduini said.

The second contract is with Chalfont House for an infertility devotional tentatively titled ''A Walk in the Valley.'' The other authors participating in this book besides Arduini are Heidi Glick, Elizabeth Maddrey, Kym McNabney, Paula Mowery and Donna Winters.

''This is a book we all wished we'd had when we were experiencing infertility. Our stories are transparent but full of hope. I'm really proud of this book. I believe it will encourage many women,'' Arduini said.

The last is with Breath of Fresh Air Press for flash fiction titles through FaithWriters.com Arduini had placed in during the weekly challenges she entered. Those will be included in FaithWriter anthologies.

Arduini is a member of American Christian Fiction Writers. Throughout 2014, she's sharing her Finger Lakes romance, ''Match Made in Heaven,'' with newsletter subscribers. To subscribe for free, fill out the form in the right sidebar of juliearduini.com and watch the inbox for activation.
