Ohio High School Athletic Association Award winners announced at the annual Poland Middle School awards assembly included students Bella Gajdos, Delena Myers and Dante Romano.
Gajdos is the recipient of the Award of Excellence Certificate sponsored by the National Federation of State High School Associations. This award is given to a student who 'exhibits qualities of good citizenship, good moral character and good sporting behavior.'
Myers and Romano are recipients of the Archie Griffin Award. The award, named after the two-time Heisman Trophy winner, is presented to a male and female student / athlete who have been outstanding in their efforts to promote sportsmanship in their school and community.
