AIS holds anti-bullying assembly

June 12, 2014
The Town Crier

Bullying is a major concern for parents, teachers and students. In an effort to make students aware of these concerns, the Austintown Intermediate School held an assembly featuring the Wonder Wheels BMX Stunt Team. The team addressed anti-bullying by giving the students many different ways to avoid conflicts and how to get help if they witness bullying.

The announcer, Justin Hardin, engaged with the students by asking them questions, while BMX Bikers Tyler Sparr and Rob Amour showed the students cool BMX tricks and shared their own personal stories about being bullied in school. They also discussed ways to positively respond to being a victim of bullying.
