Program ranked fourth in victories:

The Canfield girls basketball program has been rated number four in all-time victories by the Ohio High School Basketball Coaches Association (OHSBCA). The team is led by coach Pat Pavlansky. Michael Moldovan, high school assistant principal, said, ''Congratulations to all coaches and team members both past and present who helped Canfield achieve this milestone!''

The Ohio High School girls basketball all-time wins top ten were listed as follows according to OHSBCA Magazine:

1. Fort Loramie, 732

2. Berlin Hiland, 722

3. Lima Bath, 721

4. Canfield, 713

5. Millersburg, 705

6. Sylvania Northview, 699

7. Springboro, 692

8. Pickerington Central, 691

9. Warsaw River View, 684

10. Delphos St. Johns, 674

Lord of Life to host gathering event:

Lord of Life Lutheran Church, 550 N. Broad St. in Canfield, will be hosting a free community outreach program 11 a.m. Monday for the entire community.

The program is geared to bring people together for a fun-filled afternoon of games, a picnic lunch and socialization.

Outside games will include croquet and bocce, and indoors will feature games and cards. This is a free community social program that is being held on the first Monday of every month.

It is open to the community, and those attending are encouraged to bring their friends as well.
