Last month, members of the Junior Fair Board marched in Boardman's Memorial Day Parade in honor of George Grim, who passed away March 26, 2014.
Following the parade, the board held a tree dedication service in his memory.
Grim was an adviser to the Mahoning County Junior Fair Board and the Boy Scouts of America. He also was a U.S. Navy veteran and an Eagle Scout.

The George Grim Memorial Scholarship was started in April of 2014 in memory of Grim.
Mahoning County Junior Fair Board is one of the sponsors of the scholarship, which is open to any youth on Junior Fair Board or any Boy Scout.
Prior to Memorial Day, Junior Fair members held their second annual Junior Fair Round-Up Dance, sponsored by The Mahoning County Junior Fair Board.
Junior Fair Board members from Mahoning, Trumbull, Lorain, Wood, Henry and Portage counties spent the evening dancing to DJ John Wargowsky, who provided the music and line dance lessons.
The evening began with a motivational presentation on leadership by Dave Kohut from "Talk Is Cheap."
