Three Holy Family students, Michael Scavina, Matthew Brennan and Theodore Ovaska won first place for their Junior exhibit category at the Ohio State history competition on April 26. Their project was titled 'Man vs. Steel: The Little Steel Strike of 1937.' Students had to research the national topic given to all who participated and consider rights and responsibilities relating to the topic they picked. They have now qualified to go to Washington, D.C., to compete in the National History Day competition. The competition will take place June 15 to 19.
