The Boardman High School Boardman Singers and Chorale were selected to participate in the FIESTA-VAL National Music Competition held April 26 and 27 in Pigeon Forge, Tenn.

Performances took place in several locations throughout the United States for the purpose of supporting high performance standards among school music organizations.

In addition to the competition, the group attended an Audition Workshop at Country Tonight where they participated in a mock audition process by the Country Tonight Directors. The choirs were invited to be the opening act for Country Tonight's evening performance at the 1500 seat multi-million dollar theatre.
