The 10th annual Forget-Me-Not Gala will be presented by the Alzheimer's Association, Greater East Ohio Chapter May 3, at Tippecanoe Country Club, 5870 Tippecanoe Road.
The doors will open at 6 p.m. and a sit-down dinner will be served at 7 p.m. The theme for the event is "Remembering Me."
The 2014 Honorees for the Gala are Elba and Shorty Navarro of Boardman who will be recognized for their continuing support of the mission of Alzheimer's Association. Shorty Navarro, the owner of GM Stadium Superstore in Salem, has been an active philanthropist in the Mahoning Valley. Elba Navarro, a retired teacher in the Youngstown City Schools, also has been involved in many organizations especially the education field and the Hispanic community.

Chris Roman of Roman Auctioneers of Canfield will serve as auctioneer. Master of Ceremonies for the evening will be Jim Loboy of WYTV and Tommy Lee Thompson will provide the musical entertainment for the evening.
Stadium GM Superstore in Salem is the presenting sponsor for the Gala. Gold sponsors include Aim Nationalease, Crossroads Hospice Charitable Foundation, Guardian Elder Care Corporation, Humility of Mary Health Partners Development Foundation and Windsor House Inc. Silver sponsors are Atrium Centers-Salem, Brookdale Living--Clare Bridge / Sterling House Youngstown, Comfort Keepers, Denise DeBartolo York, Home Instead Senior Care, and Stifel.
Komara Jewelers will serve as the diamond sponsor with the donation of a diamond pendant necklace that will be among the items included in the live auction. A silent auction will also be a part of the program.
Gala Committee members are Jennifer Colella, Jean Daliman, Jacki Jones, David Keast, Susan Morrison, Mickey Meelich, Heather Pugh, Pam Rogers, Katie Rusu, Janie Skusa, Deanna Spirko and Florence Wang.
The proceeds from the event will support local programs and services in Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana counties for those living with Alzheimer's and their families and caregivers.
