Quilt for a cause

April 29, 2014
The Town Crier
Special to the Town Crier
Bonnie Naman, left, member of That Quilt Group I Belong To of Canfield, presents a patriotic quilt to Jan Seidler, Business Development Coordinator of Hospice of the Valley. The quilt will be used by active military service members who are patients at Hospice House in Poland. The quilt group also makes lap quilts for terminally ill patients at Hospice House. That Quilt Group I Belong To is also sponsoring a 'Quilt Happening' to be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 10 at Fair Park in Canfield. Shirley Stutz, nationally known machine quilter, will teach freehand machine quilting, using the sewing machine as a drawing tool with no marking needed. Reservations are required. Call Jan at 330-538-3559. A few openings are still available. The cost is $35 per person and lunch is included.
