April 3, 2014
The Town Crier

Boardman Center Middle School's Team Maroon 7 recently completed a coin collection for Making Kids Count as part of the Rachel's Challenge program. Making Kids Count Inc. is a non-profit organization in Boardman that believes that every child deserves to feel special, regardless of circumstances. They work to benefit a number of programs in the Mahoning Valley area.

The theme of the collection was ''Super Kids Can Make Super Changes.'' Team Maroon 7 students made superhero posters and wore superhero attire on the last day of the collection to promote the theme.

The students and staff collectively raised over $360.00 to benefit Making Kids Count. To learn more about Making Kids Count, visit makingkidscount.org. To learn about the Rachel's Challenge program, visit rachelschallenge.org.
