Canfield Players present new show

Canfield Players will present ''Night of the Living Beauty Pageant'' at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday at the high school auditorium.

General admission tickets can be purchased at the door. The box office will open at 6:30 each evening.

''Night of the Living Beauty Pageant'' is a comedy spoof of teenage beauty pageants. Two hucksters, Joe Allen (Richie Jenkins) and Steve Bentley (Chris Halley), decide to stage a pageant in order to attract sponsors, and hundreds of high school lovelies, who will pay a large entry fee and make Joe and Steve rich. Unfortunately, only six girls enter, and there are no sponsors. Complicating matters, the theatre owner, Mrs. Hoopway (Rosie Bresson), tries to evict them, and Knuckles Skinner (Neal Timlin), a menacing thug, wants to do them bodily harm.

Canfield Players members Olivia Ricciuti, Rosie Bresson, Zac Gierlach and Emily Rhoades are ready for some real comedy as the cast and crew present 'Night of the Living Beauty Pageant' this weekend.

Included in the cast are: Lexi Zoldan, Alisha Boykin, Emma Hartshorn, Olivia Slater, Maddy Urig, Samantha Fritz, Olivia Ricciuti, Andrew Letcher, Mackenzie Wright, Hannah Matrix, Zac Gerlach, Emily Rhoades, Shelby Zarlenga, Teagen Catlin, Camille Bagnola, Kareem Soliman, Ally Cooper, Alaina Fuller, Zack Davison, Mitchell Halley, Rachel Nagy, Nicole Schmidt, Kate Hartshorn and Taylor Mead.

''Night of the Living Beauty Pageant'' is staged under the direction of Regina Olszewski Reynolds and Marlene Menaldi Strollo. Stage Managers are Krista Tedesco and Randy Moore.
