Boardman High School students recently received Gold and Silver Key awards in the 2014 Northeastern Ohio Scholastic Art and Writing Awards hosted by the Department of Art at Youngstown State University. Their works were exhibited recently at Bliss Hall Gallery on the campus of YSU.
Gold Key winners will proceed to national judging in New York City.
More than 450 works were submitted for judging from schools in Ashtabula, Trumbull, Mahoning and Columbiana counties. The Grand Patron sponsor for this year's competition was Akron Children's Hospital. Other sponsors include Youngstown State University's Department of Art, the Boardman Rotary, BOC Water Hydraulics Inc. and the Canfield Lions Club.
