After a day full of competition at the Mahoning County Career and Technical Center against students from more than 16 schools throughout region, 18 MCCTC students have earned the chance to compete at the 2014 SkillsUSA Ohio Championships in Columbus. The Northeast Regional Championship Competition was held Feb. 22 at MCCTC and featured more than 26 different competitions ranging from design and photography to machining, collision repair technology, carpentry and much more.
The top three medal winners in each category will now represent the region at the state level competition, where they will then vie for the opportunity to represent Ohio at the National Leadership and Skills Conference in Kansas City in June.
