The Canfield Speech and Debate Team competed at Howland in the ''OHSSL Youngstown District Tournament'' on Jan. 31 and Feb. 1. By the conclusion of the tournament, Canfield earned 33 state qualifiers. This was the exact same number of qualifiers the team had through the same tournament last year, the season they won the State Tournament. Additionally, the team could earn a few more qualifiers throughout the month of February.
