Boardman sophomore Mario Graziani placed eighth it the 145 lb. weight class at the OHSAA division 1 State Championship  at the Jerome Schottenstein Center at The Ohio State University in front of more than 10,000 spectators. Mario was the youngest wrestler to place in his weight class and suffered a very tight 8-6 first round loss to State runner up Trey Grine of Fremont Ross having Grine on his back twice in the match but unable to register the pin. Graziani then fought back by winning his next three matches that allowed him to advance to the Saturday placement rounds before losing to Tanner Miller of Lancaster 5-3 to take eighth place overall and finish his sophomore year with an impressive 43-7 season. He is pictured here in the first round on Saturday against Grine.
