Ramunno earns Eagle award

Troop 25, Boy Scouts of America chartered to Canfield United Methodist Church, announced the awarding of its 173rd Eagle Scout Award to Michael Ramunno, son of Mark and Nancy Ramunno of Canfield, during a Court of Honor ceremony Feb. 12.

Michael, 18, earned his award after designing and coordinating the construction of a shooting bench for the Eastern Ohio Conservation Club to be used in their youth and adult shooting programs.

Michael joined Troop 25 Oct. 27, 2010. Over the past few years, he has served as chaplain's aide, patrol leader, assistant senior patrol leader, and senior patrol leader. He has earned 22 merit badges as well as Camp Seven Ranges Third Year Pipestone award; 50 Miler award; junior leadership training; Historic Hike award; Gettysburg Trail award; and the 2013 Camp SevenRanges Choo Feather.

Eagle Scout Michael Angelo Ramunno, Troop 25

Michael is presently a senior at Canfield High School where he is also involved in the band and Junior Engineering Technical Society. He has been on the high honor rolls for all four years and also is a member of the Mahoning County Junior Fair. He also raises chickens, turkeys, pigs and rabbits. He attends St. Charles Borromeo Parish in Boardman.
