Canfield grad takes oath from Judge Hunter

Megan Schade, a 2005 graduate of Canfield High School, passed the Florida Bar and was sworn in by Judge Scott Hunter in Canfield.

She received her Juris Doctor Degree from Florida Coastal School of Law May 2013 in Jacksonville, Fla. At graduation, she received Pro Bono Recognition for completing 125-plus volunteer hours of community service.

She also earned Best Brief in her legal writing and research class, which led her to pursue a Research, Writing, and Drafting Certificate.

While a student at Florida Coastal School of Law, Megan was very active in school organizations. As a 3L she served as student executive director of FCSL Pro Bono Program, president of the Women Law Students' Association and treasurer of Military Law Society.

In May 2009, Megan earned her Bachelor of Science in business, majoring in business management and organization from the Farmer School of Business at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.

She spent a semester abroad in Luxembourg, Miami's fourth campus, to pursue an international perspective on her business degree.

She was active in Delta Delta Delta Sorority, where she served as the St. Jude's Auction Chair for mother's weekend during her time at Miami.

Megan Schade, esquire, is employed as an admissions counselor for Florida Coastal School of Law and is residing in Jacksonville, Fla.
