Concert features the music of cinema

The Canfield High School Choirs, directed by Mrs. Kelly Scurich, will present the annual winter music event at 7:30 p.m. Saturday in the high school auditorium, 100 Cardinal Drive.

This year's presentation is based on popular music from various films. The choirs, made up of 160 voices from the Chambers Ensemble, One Octave Higher Ensemble and Concert Choir will perform music from films including Footloose, Mary Poppins, An Officer and A Gentleman, Flintstones and Beverly Hills Cop. The repertoire of Cinemagic, arranged by Mac Huff, consists of six segments.

Soloists include Canfield students: Rosie Bresson, Ally Cooper, Olivia DeMartino, Megan Factor, Kiel Fizet, Julia Frenzel, Samantha Fritz, Landon Herock, Richie Jenkins, David Labra, Andrew Letscher, Taylor Minenok, Jonathan Palermo, Emily Rhoades, Annie Vallas and Michele Whiteleather.

Tickets for the concert are $10 for adults and $5 for students and children. Tickets will be available at the door.
