Canfield golfer headed to YSU

Canfield senior Dominic Carano, middle in front, signed his National Letter of Intent on Wednesday, Nov. 13 to play golf for the Youngstown State University Penguins. At Canfield, Dom earned four varsity letters in golf playing for teams that won 51 matches and lost only 10 while earning the All-American Conference (AAC) American Division title three times. Individually, he earned All-AAC Honorable Mention honors once and All-AAC First Team recognition twice under Canfield head coach John Metzinger's tutelage. Additionally, Dom was a 2012 Division I All-Northeast Ohio District First Team selection and the 16-team 2013 Canfield Invitational Tournament medalist. In the classroom, he holds a 3.6 GPA and is a member of the Canfield High School Key Club and National Honor Society. He is shown flanked by his parents, Christine Carano and Ken Carano Jr., and in the back row, his grandparents Casmir Fryda, Stella Fryda, Linda Carano and Ken Carano Sr.
