The Poland Little Bulldogs will be hosting the Youth Athletic Conference Super Bowl on Sunday, Oct. 27 at the Poland Seminary High School football field. They will be hosting a total of three games that day starting at noon with the 100-pound championship game will pit the Austintown Falcons against the Howland Tigers. The 120-pound game has the Canfield Cardinals facing the Poland Little Bulldogs, and the 140-pound game finds the Austintown Colts facing the Canfield Cardinals.
The 120-pound Poland Little Bulldogs ended the regular season with a 6-1 record; earning them a three-way tie for first place in their division. In the first round of playoffs, the Little Bulldogs defeated the Hickory Hornets 30-0, allowing them to move on to the next round and get one step closer to the Super Bowl. In order to advance to the Super Bowl, the Little Bulldogs would have to face the Austintown Colts once again, to whom they lost earlier in the season, 14-0. Knowing that they would have to bring everything they had, the Little Bulldogs worked hard and prepared all week for this game. In what ended up being a very close game, the Little Bulldogs pulled out a victory over the Colts with an 8-6 win. The team is led by head coach Deric Maddick.
