Boardman volleyball moves to 4-2

The Boardman High School volleyball team defeated Lake 3-0 on Aug. 26, then went on to shut out Canton McKinley 3-0 on Aug. 29.

In the Lake game, the Spartan girls posted matches of 29-27, 25-10, and 25-20 for the win. Leaders for BHS were Megan Volosin with 20 kills, Faith Saunders with 36 assists and Hope Landers with 14 digs.

In the Canton McKinley game, the leaders were Volosin with nine kills, Saunders with 21 assists, Katie Seeco with four aces, and Cailin Downie with seven digs.

Boardman is now 4-2 overall and 2-1 in the Federal League.
