TC United faces tough final

TC United, a 12-and-under boys soccer team, played a nail-biting championship game, which flocked many spectators around the the field to watch both teams tie 3-3, being forced into two overtimes, then two penalty kick shoot outs before ultimately losing to Sylvania United in sudden death during the 2013 Westlake Invitational Soccer Tournament on Sunday, May 26. The team rallied together, “playing one of the best matches in Westlake’s 30 year tournament history,” said a W.I.S.T official in charge of trophies. TC United’s trainer/owner Neil Fowler, the coaching and team management staff congratulated the boys on a job well done. The team includes, from left, Pat Colonna, U-12 B team manager; P.J. Colonna of Canfield; Jake Fay of Canfield; John Michael Diana of Girard; Ian Kristan of Canfield; Kameron Roache’ of Boardman; Zachary Vestal of Austintown; Phillip Stanic of Canfield; Giovanni Copploe of Canfield; Matt Ferree of Austintown; Mathew Beck, and Mark Roache’, U-11 B team manager.
