Fun after competition

Boardman High School indoor track team members: junior Mark Hadley, freshman Nathan Hadley, and freshman Brendon Lucas, enjoy a ride on the subway after competing in the New Balance Indoor Nationals over the weekend in New York City. Highlighting the Spartan success while there was Mark Hadley who finished 11th overall in the Varsity Elite Mile with a time of 4:15 — setting the BHS indoor record for the event. Senior Nathan Jones placed 24th in the Varsity Elite 60 with a time of 7.08. Nathan Hadley was 18th in the Ninth Grade Mile with a time of 4:38, while Lucas was 24th in the Nine Grade 60 with a time of 7.68. The Spartans will next compete at the OATCC Indoor State Championships, this Saturday at The University of Akron. Competing for Boardman will be Jones in the 60, Mark Hadley in the 800 and 1600, and junior Alan Burns in the 3200.
