March 14, 2013
Special to the Town Crier

Boardman's Noah Basista showed that he was one of the top 11-year-old breast stroke swimmers in the state of Ohio by winning the 11- and 12-year-old division in the 50-yard breast stroke at the YMCA North East Ohio League Championships at Cleveland State University on March 2.

As a member of the Y Neptunes, Basista's winning time of 32.88 places him on the national charts for his age bracket. He also qualified in five events for the YMCA Great Lake's Zone Championships on March 15-16 at Bowling Green State University. This meet consists of best swimmers from the neighboring five states. He will be swimming the 50 breast stroke, 100 breast stroke, 100 individual medley, and two relay events.
