Watson: One good turn deserves another

February 28, 2013
By Kathleen Palumbo , Town Crier correspondent

Not only are the students of Watson Elementary School in the habit of learning during the course of the school day, they continued into the evening on Friday, Feb. 22 as fathers taught their little girls the dance moves to accompany "Shout," and in turn their lovely young ladies showed their dads a few moves to the "Cupid Shuffle," when the school hosted its first Father/Daughter Dance.

According to Denise Fedorek of the school's PTO, the group thought a father and daughter dance would be a good way to encourage the importance of fathers having a good relationship with their daughters and with approximately 300 in attendance, it would appear the dads agreed.

With professional photos available by Robert Senn, and music by DJ Randall Martin of Platinum DJ Productions, the magical evening included the girls gathering on the steps of the stage singing, "You light up my world like nobody else," as they serenaded their dads with the song "You Don't Know You're Beautiful."
