BHS grad among lead scorers

Washington & Jefferson College senior guard Emily Abraham of Canfield and graduate of Boardman High School, scored 12 points and tied a season high with seven rebounds, helping the Presidents to a 54-40 Presidents' Athletic Conference victory at Grove City on Wednesday, Jan. 9.

Abraham drilled three-of-seven three-point tries and three-of-four shots from the free-throw line, while handing out a pair of assists.

The Presidents (10-4, 5-2) have won four of their last five games and Abraham averaged 9.4 points and 3.8 rebounds during those contests.

Abraham is W&J's third-leading scorer at 9.5, while draining a team-leading 23 triples. She has also added 38 rebounds and 19 assists.

During her four-year career, Abraham has scored 459 points and pulled down 190 rebounds.
