Young bands to rock BPAC

January 17, 2013
Special to the Town Crier

The BHS RockaPalooza will be held on Saturday, Jan. 19 in the Boardman High School Performing Arts Center. The show will feature 10 rock bands comprised mostly of high school students from various schools in northeastern Ohio.

Performing during 30-minute segments will be Big Ginge and the Nobodies, Colorblind, Engage, In Legions, No Clue, Resisting Reason, Sleeping Under Fire, The Face Cards, The Knickers, and Two Days Until Tomorrow. Each band comes with its own list of accomplishments and honors including a number of them that were finalists in the Tri-C High School Rock-Off in Cleveland.

The top three bands will be decided by fan voting. They will share a prize package of $350 in cash and $300 in gift cards. Each band has tickets to sell to their fans directly. Pre-sold tickets count for two votes each. Everyone who buys a ticket at the door will get one vote toward their favorite band.

Admission is $7 and doors open at 5:30 p.m. The first band plays at 6 p.m.
