The Canfield Lady Cardinals (8-1) hosted the Boardman Lady Spartans (3-6) at the James Watkins Gymnasium on Saturday evening, Dec. 29. Right from the tip-off there was little doubt as to what the outcome would be. The varsity Lady Cards came out fast and accurate to stake a 21-point lead in the first quarter and lead the game 40-14 at the half. The second half of the rivalry wouldn't be any different as the Cards outscored the Spartans to finish the match, 76-28.
The junior varsity Lady Cardinals also won their matchup, 35-21.
