Kayla Troxil from Canfield High School has recently been selected to compete in the Queen of Diamonds Showcase North at Kent State University on Jan. 5 and 6, 2013.
Troxil plays pitcher and middle infielder for the travel fastpitch softball Ohio Outlaws organization for coach Dawn Olson. She participated in the ASA fastpitch Division "A" softball nationals held in Novi, Mich., this past August and is now a freshman at Canfield High School and looks forward to beginning her high school fastpitch softball career there this coming spring.
The QDSN, now in its 19th season, is part of the Queen of Diamond's Showcase events - the largest fastpitch softball showcases of its kind in the United States.

This event continues to attract athletes from more than 20 states and two Canadian provinces. Its sister showcase, the Queen of Diamonds South, in its fifth season. Both events have more than 2,000 applicants in which around 264 athletes are selected.
