Headed for national championship

The 11-year-old Youngstown Youth Flag Football Association travel team competed on Saturday, Nov. 10 for the regional title in Jersey City, N.J. The team went undefeated in five games leading to the championship and then won the championship game 19-14 against the Patriots from Massachusetts. The boys will represent the New York Jets and compete against seven other teams from across the nation in the NFL Flag Football National Championship held during Super Bowl week in New Orleans. They also won passes to a NFL experience day, held the Wednesday before the Super Bowl where they will meet current and former NFL players.
