Never too young to say thank you

The "Pledge of Allegiance" takes on an even greater meaning when shared with the thankful hearts of young patriots. To celebrate Veterans Day on Monday, Nov. 12, four- and five-year-olds from Kiddin' Around Daycare in Boardman visited Shepherd of the Valley Boardman where they recited the "Pledge of Allegiance," delivered handmade cards and did a craft with the resident veterans of the facility.

With nine veterans on hand for the event, Missy Mordocco of SOV Boardman said the residents had been very excited in anticipation of the visit, adding that they always look forward to time spent with the children. The youngsters followed up their visit with a trip to McDonald's for lunch.
