Argus Lodge # 545 F. & A.M. in Canfield, honored Brother Edwin J. Anderson II, one of its longtime members, with the Mason of the Year Award on Oct. 12. The award was established to honor a Brother who has diligently served Argus Lodge and is viewed by its master and officers as a mason who has singled himself out through his actions in the last year.

Brother Anderson has been an active member of the lodge for 42 years where he now is the captain of the Fellowcraft team for the Lodge. He resides in Boardman with his wife, Sharie. Ed has one son, Dave of Youngstown, and a daughter, Melissa of Columbus.

Anderson served in the U.S. Army National Guard, serving from 1970 to 1977 as a specialist fifth class. He attended Kent State for ROTC and graduated Youngstown State University with a bachelor's degree in business administration. He and his brothers, Bill and Bob, worked for their father Elmer who owned Anderson Suburban Delivery in Youngstown until it closed in 1981. Anderson then went to work for Central Transportation from 1982 to 1995. He then moved to Conway Freight, where he is presently an account executive.
