Making good on its promise to the community to bring 10 new officers on board with the passage of the August, 2011 3.85-mill, five-year additional police levy, on Thursday, Sept. 27, officers Christopher Costas and Michael Calautti were officially sworn in by township Fiscal Officer William Leicht. Costas and Calautti, both Boardman High School alumni, take the number of officers on staff from 48 to 52, according to Chief of Police Jack Nichols.
