Spartans top McKinley in volleyball

Boardman's Lady Spartan volleyball team gained their ninth overall win and their fifth Federal League win in a 3-1 defeat of Canton McKinley. The Spartan ladies advance their record to 9-3 overall (5-2 in league play) by outscoring McKinley 25-23, 25-20, 21-25, 25-14.

Leaders for Boardman were junior Megan Volosin with 15 kills and six digs, junior Faith Saunders with 38 assists, two aces and four digs, and sophomore Amanda Lipke with nine kills and three aces.
