Area women are invited to experience the seventh annual "Come to the Fire" interdenominational conference through live simulcast at Glenwood Christian Fellowship, 7872 Glenwood Ave., Boardman, from Oct. 11 to 13.
The three-day event, this year titled "Overflow with Love," will originate from Olivet Nazarene University in Bourbonnais, Ill.
Live streaming will be available at the church from 8 to 10 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 11, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday, Oct. 12 (with lunch and dinner breaks), and from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 13.
Since its humble beginning by Aletha Hinthorn and the first Lydia Prayer Group in 2005, women from 45 states and five countries have attended the event. In 2011, the conference was held in Grove City, Ohio, with more than 2,200 women from 40 denominations in attendance.
Today, Lydia prayer groups, led by Titus Ministries and coordinated by Christian author Patsy Lewis, continue to pray for the annual conference throughout the year. Their prayer requests focus in part on God's Holy Spirit to be revealed to women, encouraging changed hearts and lives of personal holiness, and for widespread revival in the world.
Further information is available at www.cometothefire.org, where women are encouraged to register online for this free, donation-supported conference at any of the locations listed. For details on the local event, contact Wilma Weingart at 330-726-2643.
