CHS volleyball undefeated in the league

September 19, 2012
Special to the Town Crier

With only four returning varsity players for the Canfield volleyball team, first year head coach John Tokash has gotten his team off to a good start with a 6-3 record and remains unbeaten in the league.

This year senior co-captains Sabrina Mangapora and Nicole Luklan are looking to repeat their trip to the regional tournament having won the Division II District title last season. Sophomore twins Janie Rafoth, a setter, and Rachel Rafoth, a libero, also return as varsity letter winners with Janie leading this year's team stats in assists and Rachel in digs.

This past week, the Lady Cards defeated league rivals Beaver Local at home in four games and on the road against Poland in three games.
