Students from Steven Ward's Life Literature class held a Prom for All in the cafeteria on Sept. 10 and 11. The project-based learning goal was to get students actively involved in helping other students on campus. This drive from the previous year collected gently used prom or homecoming dresses and made an evening of helping students who could not afford dresses find one and keep it, free of cost. On average, a prom dress costs $231, and Ward’s class helped pass out more than 50 dresses to those in need, saving Fitch students over $11,000. Helping with the project were project leaders: Domnique Cappabianca, Emily Witz and Gabrielle Butcher; and project volunteers: Garrett Bickerstaff, Amanda Cutlip, Alexis Johnson, Jordan Kelly, Kaylee Kesterson, David Matheny, Rachel Moser, Rebecca Woods and Rachel Jones.
