Funeral services were held at 1 p.m Saturday, Sept. 8, 2012 at Lane Family Funeral Homes, Canfield Chapel for Louisa Anderson Magnuson, 97 of Canfield, who died Wednesday, Sept. 5 at Hospice House of Poland.
Louisa was born May 19, 1915 in Youngstown, a daughter of the late William M. and Louisa Naylor Anderson.
She graduated from Chaney High School in 1933. She then worked as a Legal secretary for attorney Harrison from 1933 to 1940 and later for Liebman, Swaney and Thornton and the U.S. government. Louisa was a member of the Canfield Historical Society, a former Girl Scout Leader for 15 years and a former member of St. Andrew's and St. John's Episcopal Churches.
Her husband, Clarence Magnuson whom she married Sept. 15, 1936, died Jan. 17, 2012. She leaves her two daughters, Rita (Frank) Magnuson-Royerre of New Orleans, Nancy (William) Morrison of Pittsburgh; a son-in-law, Dr. William Kerpsack of Canfield; two grandchildren, Dr. Brigitte Kerpsack-Olsen and William R. Kerpsack; three great-grandchildren, Kate Olsen, Jane Olsen and Lars Olsen; one sister, Rita Blyler of Pisgah Forest, N.C. Besides her parents and her husband, Louisa was preceded in death by a daughter, Frances Mae Kerpsack; two brothers, John Anderson and Donald Anderson.
In lieu of flowers the family requests material tributes take the form of contributions to the Salvation Army, 1501 Glenwood Ave., Youngstown, OH 44511.
